Parking at PCC Sylvania during the conference is free, since PCC is not in session. Please do not park in faculty/staff or handicapped spaces.

Transportation Options

Option A: Flying to Portland. After arrival at PDX, take MAX Light Rail Red Line (Airport - City Center - Beaverton) from the airport to downtown Portland. From downtown Portland, take TriMet Line 44-Capitol Hwy directly to the PCC Sylvania campus. Local stops and schedule information for MAX and TriMet are available from TriMet (www.trimet.org). If you board the bus in downtown Portland, you will be within Fareless Square (www.trimet.org/fares/fareless.htm) and will not pay for the ride to PCC Sylvania. Option B: Training to Portland. After arrival at Union Station Amtrak Depot (800 NW 6th Ave), walk to NW Broadway & Hoyt and take TriMet Line 99-Powell to SW 3rd & Alder. Walk to SW 3rd, between Oak and Stark, and board TriMet Line 44-Capital Hwy to PCC Sylvania. The ride from the train depot to downtown Portland is within fareless square. If you board Line 44 to PCC Sylvania in downtown Portland, you will also be within fareless square.

Be sure to confirm routes and fares with Tri-Met as these are subject to change.

Hotels, Restaurants, Shopping

Hotels listed below are the closest in proximity to the PCC Sylvania campus. Please see the interactive map for other lodging options. Downtown city center hotels are not listed on the interactive map, but are easily accessibly to the campus on TriMet Line 44-Capitol Hwy. If you stay in downtown Portland and board the bus on SW 3rd, between Oak and Stark, you will be boarding in fareless square and will not pay to ride to PCC Sylvania. You could also stay near the Washington Square mall and ride TriMet Line 78-Beaverton/Lake Oswego to PCC Sylvania.

If you've never been to the PCC Sylvania campus, please be aware that it's at the top of a hill. It's possible to walk from either the Hospitality Inn or Comfort Suites Southwest, but be prepared for a fairly steep climb. You can ride TriMet Line 44-Capitol Hwy from the Hospitality Inn. There is no bus service near Comfort Suites Southwest.

A number of excellent restaurants and unique shops are located in or near Multnomah Village. Take TriMet Line 44-Capitol City and hop off at Multnomah Village. Hop back on Line 44 to return to the campus or continue downtown.
